Carol Service 2019
We had an amazing night at our Carol Service tonight in St Patrick’s Church. We were treated to wonderful performances from our Senior Choir, Junior Choir, Drama Group, Dancers, Folk Group and Musicians. They entertained us with beautiful Christmas music throughout the night.
We were indebted to Fr McCaughan for enabling us to perform our show in the beautiful and serene surroundings of St. Patrick’s Church. It was lovely to have so many families, friends and esteemed guests taking such delight in the children’s performances.
Well done to everyone who took part - you were all just fantastic! Thank you to Mrs O’Hare, Miss Leonard and all the staff for putting on such an enjoyable performance. Thank you also to past pupils Clare and Patrick Glover for coming back to perform with us and for Mrs McGoran for her musical accompaniment.
Throughout the concert, cheque presentations were made to both local charities and those which take on global incentives. This was the culmination of fundraising during the year by the pupils and staff. This is such an important aspect to the core values of our school. £2400 was presented by the school to our nominated charities. The recipients of the cheque were as follows: St. Vincent de Paul, Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary, GVHD (Craig Family), Fr Charles/Malawi Project, Friends of the Cancer Centre, Trócaire, Positive Futures and Mary’s Meals
